Faty Ly is a senegalese ceramist. At the end of the 90s, Faty assists a Burkinabé potter and discovers a craft technique that immediately fascinates her. She gradually learns to sift the clay, to model, to create finishes and to produce Beautiful clay products. In 2005, she joined Central Saint-Martins, one of the most prestigious schools of Art and Design in the world.
She discovered industrial ceramics and decided to create her own brand.
This teacup is part of her earlier collection named “Nguka “ which is inspired by the ancient traditional “peinture sous verre ” representing the “Signare women” from Saint Louis in northern Senegal.
