Faty Ly, is a senegalese ceramist. At the end of the 90s, Faty assists a Burkinabé potter and discovers a craft technique that immediately fascinates her. She gradually learns to sift the clay, to model, to create finishes  and to produce Beautiful clay products  In 2005, she joined Central Saint-Martins, one of the most prestigious schools of Art and Design in the world. She discovered industrial ceramics.
This plate is part of her last collection named “Nguga  “ which is inspired by the traditional Senegalese “peinture sous verre “ representing  the Signare women from Saint Louis .
