Mounou Désiré Koffi is a young Ivorian artist born in October 1994 in Buyo (Ivory Coast).

“The click,” he had was watching the kids in his neighborhood playing with cell phones. Aware that these wastes presented a health risk, Mounou Désiré Koffi decided to “give a second life to these phones” that litter the streets of Abidjan, too old to be kept or repaired. With 25 million inhabitants, Côte d’Ivoire produces around 1,500 tonnes of electronic waste each year – not counting imported waste.
