The compositions of Armand Boua (Ivorian artist) are distinguishable due to the use of tar, acrylic, newsprint and recycled magazines. Each layer is applied then torn off, stripped. The stagings are the image of the street, deconstructed.

The subjects of the artist Armand are victims of exploitation, or symbols of hope and innocence. The seriousness of the 2002 crisis in Côte d’Ivoire increased the number of street children and it is the sad scenes of poverty in the street that have led Boua to portray these figures in his works.
