Inoussa is a designer from Burkina Faso. He was trained by his elder brother, Hassane Dao and he became passionate about creating furniture and decorative objects. In addition to wood and iron, Inoussa Dao diverts unusual objects from everyday life. He thus works with wheels, pots and other recovered waste to which he gives a new soul when designing furniture.

At the age of 18, after having dropped out of high school, he took his first steps in design at the Olorun Foundation,in Ouagadougou  the capital of Burkina Faso.

His learning is based on observation and learning by doing.

His technique of welding and material processing have allowed to create innovative furniture with a traditional twist.

This 6-month stay in the French capital allows him, under the direction of his supervisor Didier Gugole, to improve his technique and develop his talent.

His desire to share this knowledge, was echoed by the creation of a new project of creation in the Center of Lukare. He has now joined the management team and has helped to bring together young apprentices to teach them techniques of metal welding. This was a very innovative approach in Burkina Faso where recycling has become the mainstay of his work.
