Born in 1993 in Kinshasa (DRC), Gosette Lubondo was early on inspired by her father’s work. She then became interested in photography. In 2014, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa. Gosette finds inspiration in her everyday environment, in the spatial and individual remains that surround her. She works at the intersection of past and present, old and new, questioning the memory of aging sites. Her images are a testimony of the traces left behind, testifying to the history and the continuous evolution of life.
